Elky's B-sides Collection

like any ageing rock band, we (cord and elky) have run out of new material so we have just recycled some old shit we never used to entertain the kids.......

Elky at harrow U pipe, september 2006 when it was really hot. I got sweaty grips today for the first time since summer which means that SPRING is on the way. but its raining now just to prove winter still has a good grip.

Cord, Mark, rainy and elky. July 2006 in a carpark in liverpool. We got there early and rampworx wasn't open for 2 hours so we went to find a 'beach'. Wading in a radioactive oil slick is amazing. the sand took 2 days to get off and the beach was coverd in rusty statues of naked men with actual iron cocks.

This beach went out real far, yet there was no one to be seen any further than the first 50 foot marker (the rusty statues of naked men) and we never twigged why.. so we ventured out there with our bikes, bare foot, throwing 180's on wet sand.. and then set foot across rusty coloured sand shit.. looked very wrong, but we kept walking till we reached the sea, and then decided it wasn't so healthy and made our way back. It was only once we off the beach that we saw the warning sign basically telling us this beach was hazzardous, which had us in a hurry to wash the shit off our feet with bottles of water. Then we eat noodles, so it was all good. -Roy

What to do at a soaked skateplaza? climb the playground and take photos. Cord killing time in stoke, july 2006.

Stoke skateplaza.. slippy shit.. nice kiddy park though, and some rock climbing thing which was good fun, yet tricky getting down from. The plaza took over half an hour to find, proper mission, walking up and down some soaking wet hill which didn't leave much hope of a dry skateplaza. Wouldn't have made much difference wet or dry though, the floor was terribly slippery, and Martin, the self proclaimed street kid wouldn't ride the thing... was the most street place we visited! -Roy

Elky. Day 3 of the trip in leeds. The whole park to ourselves with a few northern boys. An attempt at street riding was made but i spent most it marvelling at being able to buy deep fried mars bars and the silly accent.

The Works! Possibly my favourite park of the trip, really weird and full of random obstacles and tight trannys, about as street as indoors can be. Possibly Mark's favourite too.
After we left for Hyde Park, and found some big bank to wall on the way as seen on Roundabout. Gave that a session, though it was pretty much just me, apart from Elky dropping in off the wall. -Roy

First stop of that trip, stratford upon avon. Cord was on a mission really while the rest of us died in 30something temperature.

Rincing Elky's computer and saw this rather bosh photo of myself. I'm shit when it comes to boxes, so this is just fluke, and obviously accidentle.. I merely just slipped into it... -Roy

Closer to home.... seabass looking back to august 2006 at horsham. not much else to say apart from horsham is amazing and seabass has bad taste in bike colour.

Ben's colour scheme is almost as outrageous as his hair.. nuff said.

He is also gay. -Roy

january 2007.... josh at the good old farnborough. having been away for 3 month at uni it didnt quite feel like home. its quite sad really but it did make all the old ramps feel fresh again like when i was a we nipper.

Elky takes good photos, and this is one of them and it makes me jealous.. why can't I have a photo this good of myself? Vain. -Roy

Late nights riding street in the cold. Thats what winters all about, made a nice change form the hectic first few weeks at uni where 3am is considered an early night and you need an excuse to stay sober. The christmas rehab period sorted it all out.

While everyone else complained about the cold and listened to kids in tight jeans scream. Ryan got really good somehow and clicks turndowns like they are nothing. Corby skatepark january 2007.

Ryan's a bit ridiculous, which makes him a bastard. -Roy

So I'm in Bristol with Elky right now. Got here sunday and leaving wednesday. From the moment Elky met me at the station we set off street riding, met up with a couple of his friends, and rode some pretty good spots. I think it's quite amazing here and will come back, so good.. rode a couple concrete parks today, Dean Lane and St Georges. Dean Lane's quite ghetto looking and rather fitting for a street guy, and St Georges' a tweakers paradise complete with circus. Still got a couple days so more to come. There'll be no photos as Elky's camera is dead.. shame.. -Roy

This update's gone fucking messy...

This is Dave Mirra himself, keepin' it real.

Mark's ankle, and my hand.. was a bad night..

Mark feebling on that fateful night, and today turning to the darkside.

Bish.

Bash.

Bosh.

Me, luc-e to tooth, and a footfanu.. Photos by Mark.

Jake, 270's, friday, photo by me, and monday, photo by Mark. All photos from here on by Mark.

Opposite smith grinds too.. think with everything opposite Jake switches his feet.

Regular peg grind.

Flyouts, Jake has massive balls.. only way he can feel comfortable is to keep his legs spread.
And notice the park looks a lil empty.. it's those armpits...
